Day treatment

For individuals struggling with addiction problems, day treatment can be a crucial step towards recovery. This form of intensive outpatient treatment provides a structured programme offering support for addiction while allowing people to continue meeting their daily responsibilities. Let us take a closer look at what day treatment involves, what the programme looks like and its financial aspects.

Care and support

Open the sections to discover the main pillars of this treatment.

A treatment pathway may include individual sessions, group support and the involvement of loved ones. Its format depends on the circumstances and urgency.

As well as stopping substance use or addictive behaviour, we consider underlying patterns, mental health, daily routines, relationships and relapse prevention.

Where possible, we explore whether treatment can be covered by your health insurance. Costs and arrangements for private or international programmes are explained clearly in advance.

Peggy-Sue and the team support the client and those around them through clear steps, direct communication and attention to aftercare.

The day programme

Structure and Variety

In our day treatment programme, clients spend several days a week immersed in a structured therapeutic environment. Here, they take part in a variety of therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy, lifestyle training and emotional regulation training, all in a group setting.

Individual Care and Tailored Support

Alongside the group sessions, we also provide individual care and tailored support. Clients can have one-to-one sessions with a practitioner in which specific problems and needs are discussed and addressed, enabling personal growth.

A holistic approach to recovery-focused care

Our approach goes beyond the addiction alone. We aim for holistic recovery by creating an integrated treatment plan that covers every aspect of the client's life. In this way, we provide a more comprehensive approach to care that improves the prospects of lasting recovery.

Costs and reimbursement

For residents of the Netherlands, day treatment is reimbursed under the Dutch Health Insurance Act, as this treatment is provided by specialist mental healthcare institutions. This means that the treatments are included in the basic health insurance package. Not all insurers reimburse residential admission.

Your health insurance excess does apply, however. You can check the amount on your health insurer's website.
