A compassionate and effective intervention, led by experienced interventionists, is the way to create awareness. We put everything in place to start the right treatment for the person with an addiction, with the family involved.
Our team of experts is ready to provide immediate help and advice, arrange treatment or residential admission, and support you or your loved ones throughout the entire process, from intake through to aftercare. Our approach is always tailored to the individual.
Every addiction, with its varying patterns of use and symptoms, must be regarded and treated as an illness. This recognition forms the basis for effective treatment strategies. It is essential to addressing every addiction.
Peggy-Sue provides professional help with addiction. Our team offers immediate advice and assistance and, where possible, arranges prompt residential admission.
We provide interventions, specific treatments, residential admissions (including internationally), Recovery & Sober Companionship, and support throughout the entire process from intake through to aftercare. This also includes placement in a Safehouse and bespoke residential aftercare (private).
During the initial consultation, we will be pleased to advise you on which programme offers the best prospects for you or your loved one.
Peggy-Sue works successfully with several trusted addiction treatment clinics in the Netherlands and abroad.
An intervention is a profound but effective way to help a person with an addiction understand the seriousness of their problem and become open to receiving help.
There are many addictions that differ considerably in terms of use and symptoms. Nevertheless, every addiction must be regarded and treated as an illness.

Putting our conviction into action leads to tangible change. The intake consultation is more than a moment of reflection; it is the starting point for finding solutions. Through careful analysis, we identify the right forms of support, from intensive recovery treatment to counselling and support groups.
We also serve as a refuge for those seeking clarity amid chaos and as a beacon of hope for people experiencing addiction problems. Through thorough assessments and tests, our diagnostic centre—a symbol of excellence—uncovers the deeper causes of addictive behaviour, resulting in personalised treatment plans for lasting recovery.
One aspect of private aftercare is providing a safe place to settle after residential treatment. We have two locations for this purpose: one in the Netherlands and the other elsewhere in Europe.
This is our location in the Netherlands: accommodation in an exclusive setting within a nature reserve. No temptations, just a healthy lifestyle. Activities include wellness, gardening, swimming, rowing, paddleboarding and much more.
All of this takes place under the guidance of a senior addiction counsellor.
This residence symbolises hope in dark times and the possibility of a new beginning. No judgements are made here; instead, a helping hand is extended to those willing to embark on the journey to recovery. Although the path may be difficult and the road long, there is always a light on the horizon – a life free from addiction, filled with hope, health and happiness.
Our organisation provides professional addiction treatment to support recovery, including treatment abroad at our addiction treatment clinic in South Africa. We offer a residential programme through our partner organisation, delivered by professional, experienced and compassionate practitioners.
Our aim is to help free you from your addiction and help you seize the opportunity to reclaim your life. The addiction treatment clinic in South Africa focuses on and specialises in various forms of addiction, including alcohol, cocaine, cannabis, gambling and prescription medication addiction.
Peggy-Sue Figueira, known from programmes such as RTL 4’s “Verslaafd!” and “Het Rotterdam Project,” is not only an experienced interventionist and addiction specialist, but also a passionate advocate for greater awareness of addiction.
Having trained in the Netherlands, America and South Africa, where she spent much of her life, she combines her own experience of addiction with her professional knowledge to help people with addictions and their loved ones. Her mission is clear: to break down stigma, raise awareness and urge action for those who can no longer see a path to recovery.
During an initial telephone screening with Peggy-Sue or a colleague, you will receive information about addiction and the available treatment options. If an intake consultation is required, you will be invited to meet at one of our locations, via a Zoom video call or at your location.
An assessment consultation focuses on the individual’s personal story, the options available to the person with the addiction and their immediate support network. This consultation may result in a referral to the most appropriate care, tailored to the individual’s needs and circumstances.
During this intake consultation, which lasts approximately 60 minutes, various options are explored, including outpatient or residential addiction treatment (privately funded or covered by health insurance), an intervention, or personal support from Peggy-Sue and her team. Both the clinics and the team members have been carefully selected by Peggy-Sue.

“At that point, I had a choice between two evils. I already had one and a half feet in the grave. So I could either call Peggy-Sue or choose my illness, which would eventually cost me my life. Six clinics had already turned me down because I was considered an extremely complex patient.”
Saskia (aged 27)
“I had just gone to bed when I was completely taken by surprise. My entire family and Peggy-Sue were standing in my house. ‘This cannot go on; you have to do something about it,’ they told me. The intervention, based on the Johnson Model, was completely unexpected and had a profound impact on me.
Jordan (aged 33)
“Peggy-Sue helped me begin my recovery. An intervention took place in collaboration with my mother. It was not so much during the intervention itself, but mainly through the one-to-one conversations that followed, that I began to understand what addiction is.”
Victor (aged 22)
