Eating, not eating, compensating or using substances can feel like a way to stay in control.<\/p>

Over time, that control often diminishes while shame, isolation or physical exhaustion increases.<\/p>\n

Addiction and disordered eating require careful support because they often attempt to numb the same underlying pain.<\/p>
