We are proud to present the first episode of our new podcast: The Intervention. In this podcast, hosts Peggy-Sue Figueira and Lya Young-Afat will discuss addiction.<\/p>

They are doing this because the disease of addiction is still surrounded by many taboos and a great deal of misinformation. By sharing their own knowledge and experience, both professional and personal, they hope to help people with an addiction, their loved ones and care professionals combat the disease as a team.<\/p>\n

In the first episode, we meet our 3 hosts. The trio work together as addiction specialists and interventionists. They did not simply stumble into this field. All three have experienced addiction at close quarters in their own lives: what it is, what it does to people and everything it destroys.<\/p>\n

We open up the discussion and share the raw stories behind addiction.<\/p>
